Quantum Sensors

Quantum Sensors

Precision measurements from the nanoscale to the Universe. Classical measurement techniques are fundamentally limited by the physical extent of their sensors. As precision measurement improves, quantum mechanics of individual particles and states become more important. Techniques of quantum squeezing or backaction evasion can be applied to specialized quantum sensors to preferentially measure quantities even beyond what is known as the Standard Quantum Limit. Q-Farm is working on these types of quantum sensors for applications in Dark Matter detection and beyond.
